wilson harbor: the boathouse restaurant
the boathouse was pat brady's favorite hangout since he was a kid vacationing every summer in the wilson harbor area. fish fry's had to be it's forte as the grease hung heavy in air. so did the 7'-0" height ceilings. one day, pat grew up and wanted to give something back to the community that had given so much to him. he bought the boathouse, raised that low-slung ceiling and scrubbed the grease off the walls, and did, well, maybe just a little bit more. today the restaurant is a favorite year-round hangout. pat also donated a swimming pool with a bathhouse to the community. sketches for the bathhouse, which hosts a look-out tower reminiscent of new england-style lighthouses, are below.
